Kanye West angrily Asks his Blades in the Dark players How they Sway
Reports say Kanye had another one of his famous outbursts at last week’s Blades in the Dark session. A player in the game attests that he had said he was going to Sway an archivist holding important information about Lord Scurlock. When the player immediately went to roll, West exploded. “I know that ain’t how a lot of games play out,” the rapper seethed, “but it ain’t enough just to tell us that you’re doing something. We’ve played eight scores by now, you should have this locked down. Don’t say Sway! How are you going to Sway?”
The player reportedly began to describe taking a few steps back to better size up how best to approach the scholar, but West interjected once again to shout, “You ain’t got the answers man! I’ve been playing Blades more than you. You ain’t been doing the education. You ain’t watched the RollPlay, you ain’t listened to Marielda, to Magpies, to the Unexplored Places!”
Players and entourage immediately tried to calm West down. The player, who did not wish to be named, said that they retorted that they’ve spent plenty of money on Forged in the Dark games like Scum & Villainy, but West was unimpressed. “He just kept saying ‘That ain’t Harper though! It ain’t Harper level!’”
Many of West’s fellow players have said they’ve begun to distance themselves from his games. One player said, “He puts in a lot of work that you can’t deny. He built a whole house for one of his campaigns. Like, not a miniature, but literally rebuilt his childhood home. But that kind of craft doesn’t really matter when he invites Marilyn Manson over to play.” At the time of reporting, West was reportedly getting really into Call of Cthulhu “for all of the wrong reasons.”
