Slide accidentally Flashbacks to being Rejected by High School Crush
While Slides normally have a reputation as master manipulators of the human psyche, Nasha Night of the Six-Tower Sinners put that reputation to the test when she accidentally flashed back to her more awkward days in high school. Reportedly she and her crew were in the middle of a tense meeting between feuding members of the Circle of Flame. “I was just about to remember seducing Raffello to gain access to his rare paints, when instead I went back to trying to ask out Bobby Tailor to the Arkenvorn Dance.” Onlookers’ say that Night frozen and was unable to speak. Night says she was caught in her memory of painful teenage years. “I was kind of rambling about how we could get matching spirit masks, and he just gave me a weird look and moved on. He didn’t even have the decency to tell me no.”
According to the other Sinners, Night is usually a much cooler customer. “She has a real swagger to her walk,” says Brukka Sian, a broad-shouldered bruiser. “The way she places her hand to her chin as she expertly appraises her next target. You’d never guess that she joined the school play to be near her crush, only to never talk to him because she ended up in stage crew.” Thankfully, Night was able to recover to finish the job. “We were definitely afraid this might dredge up some trauma, but she was able to pull it all back, and we left that meeting with a peaceful Six-Towers, and a near-perfect forgery of the Governor’s portrait. All in all, a good haul.”
We asked Night if she had kept up with Robert Tailor. “Last I heard he was running with the Billhooks. I actually ran him down at a dog fight after this incident, and we had a good laugh over old memories. So there’s no hard feelings. I still slipped poison in his beer, but that was just business.”
